A Sacred Ceremony, Elegant Reception, and Sunset Courtyard Portraits
Some days feel like a hymn—steady, joy-filled, and full of meaning. As a Chattanooga wedding photographer, Camille & Jonathan’s day was exactly that: a Christian worship ceremony in a beautiful historic church, heartfelt private vows by first touch, and a celebration wrapped in bright florals, family, and so much love.
Friends and family gathered as worship led the way—scripture, prayer, and songs that turned the sanctuary into holy ground. Camille and Jonathan chose to save their first look for the aisle, but before the service, they shared a quiet first touch and exchanged private vows—hands around a corner, voices low, hearts steady.
Camille’s florals were a joyful mix of bright yellows, blues, and pinks—a palette that mirrored her fun personality and timeless character. The bridesmaids wore the perfect shade of classic pink, which made the portraits feel layered and editorial. A rainy, cloud-soft day gave us the dreamiest, even light and those rich, saturated tones photographers love.
They had a big bridal party, and it showed in the best ways—helping hands, happy chaos, and the kind of laughter that carries through a whole gallery. We built in simple prompts and plenty of movement so everyone looked relaxed and genuinely themselves.
After the ceremony, guests gathered at The Read House for a mocktail hour and a reception that felt timeless, elegant, and fun. We slipped out for sunset photos in the garden courtyard, then returned to chandeliers, clinking glasses, and a packed dance floor—exactly the classic-meets-modern vibe they envisioned.
Post-sunset, Camille changed into a chic corset slip and skirt—perfect for twirls and all-night comfort. They danced surrounded by family and friends, then made their way through a joyful pom-pom exit down the Read House hallways. To end the night, we ducked into the elevator for romantic flash photos—a quiet, cinematic bookend to a luminous day.
