A Rain-Kissed, Party-Vibe Celebration at Smithview Pavilion in Maryville, TN
Some weddings just radiate pure fun from the first look on the timeline, and Breanna & Brady’s day was exactly that—party vibes, color, and the happiest crew. Smithview Pavilion is tucked onto a leafy, four-acre property with gardens and a creek wrapping the grounds, which meant we had shade, texture, and so many natural backdrops even on a rainy, cloud-soft day. The open-air pavilion kept everyone dry and ready to dance.
These two chose a first touch with private vows—just the hands, no peeking. It was quiet, emotional, and the perfect deep breath before the celebration. They saved the first look for the aisle, and that moment down the arbor path, with umbrellas tucked away and mist in the air, felt cinematic.
Breanna’s vision mixed pops of yellow, blue, and pink—bright, joyful, and perfect against the greens of the property. Her bridesmaids wore different patterns and shades of pink, giving the portraits a layered, editorial feel. Rain brings the richest tones, and the soft overcast turned their palette into pure glow.
The ceremony space sits amid mature trees with the sounds of the creek nearby—intimate, easy for guests, and beautiful from every angle. Cloud cover = nature’s softbox, so faces were luminous and colors true.
Smithview Pavilion is built for weather-proof celebrations: a stately brick, open-air structure with string lights and chandeliers overhead, polished floors for dancing, and that big stone fireplace as a focal point. It’s roomy (around 200 guests) and perfectly set for a packed dance floor—which is exactly what they had.
From the first track, the energy never dipped. We stole B&B for ten minutes at blue hour for just-married portraits on the paths, then sent them right back to the party for toasts, cake, and a confetti of hugs. Rain or shine, this crew came to celebrate—and it shows in every frame.
