A Joy-Filled Chateau Selah Wedding | Meghan + Taylor
As a wedding photographer serving Knoxville, Johnson City, and Nashville, I’ve had the joy of documenting love stories all across Tennessee—but Meghan and Taylor’s wedding at Chateau Selah in Johnson City was something truly special.
From the moment I arrived, there was this peaceful excitement in the air—the kind of anticipation that makes you know something beautiful is about to unfold. And it did. From the lush mountain views to the soft pre-storm sky, everything felt sacred, real, and completely “them.”
Meghan and Taylor are the kind of couple who lead with their hearts. They weren’t just excited to get married—they were excited to be with the people they love most. One of my favorite parts of the day? Instead of disappearing after the ceremony, they spent time mingling with guests during cocktail hour, laughing, hugging, soaking in every conversation. That kind of intentionality is rare—and it’s exactly what made their day so meaningful.
Chateau Selah’s rolling hills and Tuscan-style stone architecture gave us the perfect backdrop for portraits—right before the rain came rolling in. Honestly? The rain just added to the magic. There’s something so raw and real about that quiet hush before a storm… and the way these two just leaned into the moment with joy was a photographer’s dream.
And speaking of dreamy—their florals were absolutely stunning. Soft whites, delicate greens, and subtle pops of blush gave their day an elegant, romantic feel without taking away from the natural beauty of the venue.
As a hybrid film and digital wedding photographer, I always aim to tell your story with honesty and heart. Meghan and Taylor’s day was full of the kind of in-between moments I love to capture: the glance they shared before walking down the aisle, the way her dress moved in the breeze, the laughter from a group hug during golden hour. It’s those candid, unposed memories that often mean the most—and these two gave me so many of them.
Meghan and Taylor, thank you for trusting me with your memories. Your love for each other—and for your people—was so evident in every part of your day. Rain and all, it was pure joy from beginning to end. Wishing you a lifetime of love, laughter, and slow dances under stormy skies.
With all my heart,
Emily
